MP2 Tennis has relocated to 18033 Highwoods Preserve Parkway in New Tampa!

The MP Tennis Ladder Men's & Women's Singles Ladders began March 3rd. Open Sign-ups throughout the season!

This season's bump-down dates are 3/24, 4/7, 4/21, 5/5, 5/19, 6/2, 6/16, 6/30, 7/14 (scores must be given in person, by email or by phone before 10 a.m. to count.) The last day of play is 7/14; playoffs will begin on 7/15. Semi-finals/Finals are August 23rd and 24th. Fall 2003 Season will begin September 2nd.

New Rule: Players must play at least 6 matches during a season to qualify for the playoffs!

MP TENNIS LADDER RULES:

Challenge Your Game Rung by Rung!

MP Tennis Men's or Women's Singles Ladders

GENERAL SETUP:
1. Men Singles - Levels: A: 4.5+, B: 4.4-3.6, C: 3.5-
Women Singles - One Level
2. Two seasons: Spring and Fall
3. Entry Fee is $20.00/player per season
4. Open sign-ups until end of season
5. End of season tournament to be held for the top *16 players on each ladder
(*depending on total number of players on ladder)
6. Money prizes for tournament winners on each ladder
7. The two players who play the most matches will receive a prize
8. Number one player at end of season will receive a prize

RULES:
1. Best two out of three sets; twelve point tie-breaker at six all
2. Official USTA rules apply to all matches

CHALLENGE FORMAT:
1. Challengers are the visitors and will supply new balls for each match
2. A player can only challenge 10 places above their current position
3. Winning challengers take challenged position on the ladder and the losing player moves down one rung on the ladder (including defaults); all other players below will also move down one position
4. If a challenger loses, both remain at their same positions
5. A player can only take one challenge at a time; so a player cannot challenge or be challenged until they have completed scheduled matches
6. Challenged player must offer two reasonable days & times for the match within seven days or the match will be considered a default
7. All scores must be reported by the winner within 24 hours of the match to MPTennis.com or called into MP Tennis at (813) 961-8844; *scores entered in the order they are received
8. If any player does not call in at least one match result (win or lose) every two weeks, they will be dropped ten positions on the ladder (matches must be reported to MP Tennis by 10 a.m. on the bump-down date)
9. A player must wait at least two weeks from their last match to rechallenge the same player

PLAYER INFO:
1. Players beginning after start date are added to the bottom of ladder
2. If a player becomes unable to play during the course of the season, then they must call to be removed from the ladder; to re-enter challenge no higher than the last held position. If the match is lost, the player will begin at the bottom of ladder.
3. If a player wins the "B" level tournament then they will move up to the "A" ladder the next season; likewise "C" level to "B" level.
4. In the event of complaints due to a player at an inappropriate level, the director can move a player to a more appropriate ladder level
5. The ladder will be updated on Mondays and posted at MPTennis and on www.MPTennis.com. Daily updated standings posted at MP1 Tennis and weekly updated standings posted at MP2 Tennis
